British Virgin Islands-incorporated Flex Box Shipping, which ventured into ship owning with orders for four 8,700 TEU ships at HD Hyundai Samho this month, originally started out as a commercial manager for Chinese-owned container ships.
Currently, Flex Box operates from Shanghai and acts as a go-between for owners of container ships plying Chinese domestic waters and mainline operators that sought to charter these Chinese-owned ships to plug a vessel shortage.
