Vertom Group and Ership Group have joined forces to launch Vership Tanker Chartering, a new tanker brokerage venture. The partnership brings together two experienced teams under one brand, offering clients a wider market reach and deeper expertise.
The Vership name blends Vertom and Ership, reflecting the seamless integration of the two companies. While the brand will be officially unveiled later, the collaboration is already in action. Clients can continue working with their familiar brokers while benefiting from a broader range of options.
Vership is positioning itself as a boutique brokerage network. It focuses on personalized service, attention to detail, and tailor-made solutions. Small, highly skilled teams allow the company to respond quickly to market opportunities while maintaining close client relationships.
The partnership combines Vertom’s global tanker chartering experience—including deep sea and short sea markets and strong ties with the ARA-Rhine inland shipping sector—with Ership’s short-sea expertise in chemicals and biofuels across the Continent-Mediterranean route. Ership also brings a strong track record in larger CPP and DPP shipments.
“This is not about becoming just another big player,” said Robert Heemskerk, Manager at Vertom Tankerchartering. “It’s about giving clients more knowledge, more power, and still keeping the service personal.”
Ricardo Hernandez, Tanker Chartering Manager at Ership, added: “Vership is building a network of specialist tanker brokerage boutiques. We combine broader coverage, deeper market insight, and complementary skills, while staying flexible and attentive to our clients.”
