Rhenus Group has launched a new air freight gateway at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport, positioning Thailand as a strategic hub for its Southeast Asia operations. The facility offers 24/7 multi-modal services, Free Trade Zone (FTZ) storage, customs clearance, and direct links to Rhenus’ nearby warehouses and Laem Chabang seaport.
The 600-sqm gateway provides secure handling, fast shipment processing, and value-added services such as palletizing, re-labelling, packing, sorting, and de-consolidation. It is certified under ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, AEO IATA, and TAFA standards.
To support sustainability goals, Rhenus Thailand has deployed its first electric vehicle (EV) for first- and last-mile collections and deliveries, with more EVs planned. “This is about reshaping logistics for a sustainable future,” said Nitipon Tansakul, Regional Head of Sustainability, APAC.
The opening follows Rhenus’ recent warehouse expansion in Bangna Trad (KM19), adding 10,500 sqm and 15,000 pallet spaces for high-tech and industrial goods. Future plans include secure cargo rooms and temperature-controlled facilities for pharmaceuticals and valuable shipments.
