Kuehne+Nagel and the LEGO Group have opened a new Regional Distribution Centre (RDC) in Dong Nai, Vietnam. The centre supports LEGO Manufacturing Vietnam, the company’s newest factory in Ho Chi Minh City.

At launch, the RDC will supply markets including Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore, and Japan. Other markets, including India and Indonesia, are expected to be added in 2026. Kuehne+Nagel will manage end-to-end logistics, including transport, customs clearance, bonded warehousing, sea freight, and delivery to local distribution centres.

The facility initially covers 10,200 sqm and offers bonded storage, specialised packing, and value-added services. When fully operational in 2026, it will handle more than 150 containers per week, store 33,000 pallets, and span 16,360 sqm.

P. Venkatram, Vice President of APAC-China Supply Chain Operations at the LEGO Group, said the RDC will create a shorter, more agile supply chain to support long-term growth. Bjoern Traemann, Managing Director of Kuehne+Nagel Vietnam, highlighted the partnership’s focus on operational excellence and sustainability, including the use of Sustainable Marine Fuel and electric vehicles for last-mile delivery.

The LEED Gold-certified RDC features solar panels and smart energy meters. It is LEGO’s fifth RDC worldwide, second in Asia Pacific, and follows the opening of a centre in Tessenderlo, Belgium, in 2024.
