Ports of Stockholm is advancing its operational capacity at Stockholm Norvik Port through the development of an integrated goods terminal and bonded warehouse facility.

This infrastructure enhancement provides operational flexibility and enables diversified cargo handling across multiple commodity categories.

Ports of Stockholm has implemented a comprehensive facility upgrade at Stockholm Norvik Port that integrates regulatory compliance checkpoints with advanced warehouse management systems.

The infrastructure incorporates both climate-controlled insulated sections and standard storage areas, enabling the accommodation and storage of temperature-sensitive commodities alongside conventional cargo requirements.

Johan Wallén, Marketing and Sales Manager at Ports of Stockholm, stated that the facility will serve as a valuable asset for customers requiring secure and efficient logistics solutions for warehouse management operations. The terminal’s adaptive design enables flexible operational approaches and accommodates diverse cargo handling requirements.

He added also that the infrastructure also generates time and cost efficiencies for import and export operations, strengthening the competitive positioning and market attractiveness.

A substantial portion of the facility functions as a bonded warehouse specifically configured for Swedish Food Agency, Swedish Board of Agriculture, and Swedish Customs operations.

The infrastructure provides comprehensive space allocation for regulatory inspections and interim storage requirements.

Stockholm Norvik Port maintains designation as one of five Swedish ports authorized for food border control operations. This regulatory status enables imported food products from non-EU countries to undergo mandatory border control procedures on-site.

Stockholm Norvik Port operates as a contemporary RoRo and container facility strategically positioned within the Baltic Sea region.

Through optimized approach routes and efficient multimodal transport connectivity, the port secures goods supply chains serving the Stockholm region Sweden’s predominant consumer market by volume and economic significance.
