PortXL is celebrating its 10th anniversary by unveiling the start-ups selected for its 2025 accelerator program. Founded in 2015, the Rotterdam-based initiative has grown into the world’s first dedicated maritime start-up accelerator.

Over the past decade, PortXL has supported 132 start-ups and scale-ups, helping them secure over €191 million in funding. The program has achieved an 83% survival rate among its alumni, a strong record in the start-up world.

The 2025 program attracted applications from around the globe. After a rigorous selection process, PortXL has chosen a diverse group of companies focused on solving some of the maritime industry’s toughest challenges.

“This anniversary underlines the strength of our community and the need for continuous innovation,” said Christel Pullens, Director a.i. of PortXL. “Our 2025 cohort represents the next generation of pioneers who will shape the industry’s future.”

The start-ups will take part in an intensive 100-day program. The agenda includes mentorship, tailored business support, and opportunities to test and pilot their solutions with PortXL’s network of partners, including the Port of Rotterdam, GTT, the Dutch Ministry of Defence, and the Municipality of Rotterdam.

The 2025 cohort includes: 13 Mari, Amphitrite, Ayrton Energy, FibriTech, Flyability, Hydrogenium, NanoSieve, SungreenH2, and Newlight Blue (Wildcard).

With its focus on building a sustainable and resilient maritime industry, PortXL’s new cohort is expected to bring fresh solutions and partnerships to the sector.
