Gebrüder Weiss has strengthened its presence in Türkiye by taking a majority stake in Istanbul-based Sienzi Lojistik, a specialist in customs and warehouse logistics. The deal, set to close in January 2026 pending regulatory approval, will see the company trade as Sienzi Lojistik – a Company of Gebrüder Weiss. Murat Doğan remains managing director and retains a stake in the business.

The acquisition enhances Gebrüder Weiss’ capabilities for customers managing complex international supply chains. The bonded warehouse at Sienzi Lojistik handles imports, exports, and transshipment, offering flexible storage, consolidation, and customs solutions.

Wolfram Senger-Weiss, CEO of Gebrüder Weiss, said the investment strengthens their Turkish foothold and integrates Sienzi’s customs expertise into the wider network. Murat Doğan highlighted that the partnership expands services and reinforces Türkiye’s role in international trade.

The Istanbul hub will be further developed as a full-service logistics center, targeting growth in textiles, industrial clients, and cross-border operations. Its strategic location between Europe and Asia positions it as a key gateway for regional markets.

Sienzi Lojistik, founded in 2007, operates a bonded warehouse near Muratbey Customs Office, one of Türkiye’s largest customs hubs. The site includes 6,000 m² of enclosed storage, 1,000 m² of open bonded space, a high-bay warehouse for 5,000 pallets, and additional logistics and office areas totaling over 22,000 m².
