Brokers report that Oldendorff Carriers has sold another ship in its preferred segment, parting with a 2011-built, 95,000 dwt Imabari-built post-panamax bulker Cedric Oldendorff for around $16m. This marks the third sale in this segment since February.
Earlier, the company sold the 2012-built Cora Oldendorff, a Taizhou Catic-built bulk carrier, for just under $14m. Notably, that vessel was due for its special survey and dry dock in April 2025—the same month Oldendorff also sold a similarly aged, COSCO Zhoushan-built bulker for $13m, with its dry dock due in May.
According to VesselsValue data, Oldendorff has sold a total of 22 bulk carriers since January 2024. The majority of those deals—77%—took place in 2024. Just 23% of the disposals have occurred in 2025 so far, signalling a significant slowdown in the company’s asset sales this year.
