Norwegian vessel owner Solstad Offshore has signed a contract with Brazilian state-owned oil and gas giant Petrobras for the charter of an AHTS vessel.
The deal for the 2007-built anchor handler Normand Turquesa was awarded to the company in early May. At the time, the company said that the contract was subject to board approval.
The contract, which will begin in February 2026, has a duration of four years and a gross value of approximately $84m.
To bypass the time until the start of the new deal, the vessel was also awarded a nine-month extension to its current contract. The vessel will now be fully committed until February 2030.
