Wan Hai Lines held a ship naming ceremony for WAN HAI A19, accompanied by a charity event on 29 May at Samsung Heavy Industries Geoje shipyard.
Huifang Zhang, Logistics Director of Meiying Household Group, performed the christening rituals, bestowing blessings on the vessel for good fortune and safe journeys.
Wan Hai Lines had signed a total of thirteen 13,100 TEU boxships with Samsung Heavy Industries in 2021.
WAN HAI A19 is the twelfth vessel in this series and is expected to be delivered in early June. Upon delivery, it will join Wan Hai Lines’ Asia to West Coast of South America (ASA) service. This series of container ships has a length overall of 335 meters and a breadth of 51 meters, featuring new engines and various eco-friendly and energy-saving designs.
