Consolidated Chassis Management (CCM) has deployed 300 newly upgraded red SACP chassis to Port Tampa Bay.
The move is part of CCM’s broader strategy to invest in high-growth markets shaped by evolving freight patterns and rising demand.
To celebrate the rollout, CCM hosted a re-opening event at Ports America’s terminal at Port Tampa Bay, showcasing the enhanced fleet to port officials, motor carriers, and logistics stakeholders.
Paul Nazzaro, CEO of CCM stressed that with e-commerce booming, last-mile delivery expanding, and new fulfillment centers emerging in the Tampa Bay region, there is clearly a market primed for investment.
The chassis deployment came just ahead of the inaugural call of the Maersk/Hapag-Lloyd IAM America Shuttle 2 service, reinforcing Tampa’s growing role in regional container traffic.
Within days, the new fleet achieved a 72% utilization rate, signaling robust demand and the effectiveness of CCM’s proactive asset placement.
The refreshed chassis feature key safety and efficiency upgrades, including anti-lock braking systems, LED lighting, and radial tires—designed to enhance reliability, visibility, and fuel economy for truck operators.
This deployment marks the first phase of CCM’s ongoing initiative to align chassis availability with shifting trade flows and customer needs across a network of rapidly expanding high-demand markets.
