Singaporean ocean carrier Pacific International Lines (PIL) has decided to enhance its West Coast South America Service 6 (WS6), aiming to expand its coverage in that region.

The WS6 coverage will now include a weekly direct call at the port of Ensenada in Mexico and a switch of the Chilean terminal call from Valparaíso to San Antonio.

The updated WS6 commences today (2 April).

William Ho, General Manager of Long-Haul Trade, Line Management, PIL, stated: “With the continued growth prospects of the Latin America market, the West Coast of South America remains a key market for PIL. Since 2011, our robust presence and comprehensive services have expanded to six countries in this area. Across Latin America, we proudly operate five service routes to serve our customers.”

The new port rotation of the WS6 will be as follows:

Ningbo (China) – Shanghai (China) – Qingdao (China) – Busan (South Korea) – Ensenada (Mexico) – Manzanillo (Mexico) – Lazaro Cardenas (Mexico) – Puerto Quetzal (Guatemala) – Buenaventura (Colombia) – Callao (Peru) – San Antonio (Chile) – Ningbo (China)
