DB Schenker has demonstrated the reliability of electric trucks in Finland, even in extreme cold. Over a year, two FUSO eCanter trucks were integrated into customer operations, successfully handling the demands of tough Finnish winters.
Their performance in temperatures as low as -30°C—common in Lapland near the Arctic Circle—proves that alternative drive systems can function effectively in freezing conditions.
Primarily used for regional and local transport, these electric trucks highlight their versatility across various logistics scenarios, helping DB Schenker meet customer needs efficiently.
Furthermore, their durable design and advanced technology ensure stable operations, delivering the dependable service that clients expect. In Finland, DB Schenker operates the latest generation of the FUSO eCanter, which is charged overnight for seamless daily use.
Since 2018, DB Schenker has employed these trucks primarily for last-mile delivery. With around 50 FUSO eCanter trucks in operation across Europe, the company continues to advance its commitment to sustainable and innovative logistics solutions.
