NWSA nears 300,000 TEUs in November

Northwest Seaport Alliance (NWSA), an alliance between the ports of Seattle and Tacoma, reported that total international container volumes for November increased by 32.9% over the same month last year.

At the same time, full international import volumes increased by 24.2%, representing the ninth consecutive month of growth. Additionally, full international exports rose by 24.1%.

NWSA’s total container volumes (international and domestic) for the month reached 290,210 TEUs, growing 25.7% compared to November 2023. Year-to-date, volumes are up 12% over last year to 3,035,986 TEUs, with full imports increasing 18.3% and full exports growing 9.6%.

Moreover, total breakbulk volume at NWSA terminals decreased by 12.9% to 363,228 metric tons YTD, while auto volumes reached 312,872 units, translating to a 2.3% growth YTD.
