Israeli container line ΖΙΜ announced the following updates to its network from Asia to the United States East Coast (USEC) and US Gulf, effective February 2025.

The ZXB service will feature an exclusive stop at Boston port, offering improved connectivity between Asia and the US East Coast with faster transit times and broader coverage. This will be the only direct service connecting Asia to Boston.

ZIM noted the ZXB service will offer best-in-market transit time from Cai Mep to Charleston and Savannah, extensive connectivity from South China and Vietnam to the US East Coast, and direct connection from South China and Vietnam to Jacksonville.

The updated ZXB rotation will be Singapore – Cai Mep – Haiphong – Yantian – Panama Canal – Cartagena – Charleston – Savannah – Jacksonville – New York – Boston – Suez Canal – Singapore.

The port of Baltimore, initially part of this service rotation, will be serviced by the company’s Z7S (ZIM Seven Stars), which covers Southeast Asia and South China as well as by ZNS (ZIM North Star), which covers North China and Korea.

The Z7S service will also include a new call at Colombo on the back-haul leg, providing additional flexibility. The updated Z7S rotation will be Singapore – Laem Chabang – Yantian – Cai Mep – Singapore – Suez Canal – New York – Baltimore – Norfolk – Suez Canal – Colombo – Singapore.

Moreover, the ZIM Gulf Central China Express (ZGX) service will add a new stop at Pusan on the back-haul leg, further enhancing the network’s coverage. The updated ZGC rotation will be Ningbo – Shanghai – Busan – Panama Canal – Mobile – Houston – New Orleans – Miami – Freeport – Panama Canal – Rodman – Pusan – Ningbo.
